Dear Students: I have posted these pictures to give you some references and examples that you may find useful at this stage. I embrace the evolutionary methaphor to hybrids that has come up during discussions, because I think that is how the term came to be applied to buildings. These orchids are the product of a Hybridization process that has been very carefully planned over a long period of time by horticulturists. Below are more metaphoric examples and several buildings. I also have a 14 MB pdf file of a chapter from an unedited book (due out this november) It contains several descriptions of Hybrid buildings and some interesting theoretical considerations, I will bring the file to the studio.
